DreamCast - you are the weakest link. Goodbye!

Yes.
But alledgedly the X-box will play existing DC games out of the box.
Also I think it fantastic that SEGA will be writing for other consoles becuase there were too many big names churning out sequals on the PS2 now they have some competitors who will write some original games.
Gaming was becoming polarised between the Big Brand PS2 games and the more pure gameplay titles that the DC and Ninty have. This recent turn of events may well give everyone a kick up the bum.
Good luck to SEGA Software.

Yeah I would tend to agree. Sega have always been associated with pure arcade titles (which is obviously where they came from) so I guess it's in their best interest to return to what they do best.
Bit of a shame though...

Scooby Regular
Steady on campers!!!!
The Dreamcast will stop, but the Dreamcast on a chip is still going ahead. Plus the fact that there are STILL 100 titles planned for release over the next 18 months (plus if the interest is still high, Sega may produce further games after this period). With over 5 million users......it aint over yet boys & girls!!!!
It is a great shame that this time, they are stopping a console, not because of it being crap, but down to the fact that they are selling them at a loss! I don't think they have ever recovered from the MegaCD/32x/Saturn days........thats what has really hurt them (and the public!!)
Shaun.

Unfortunatley according to reports only 30 of those 100 games will be for the UK and at least 10 are sequals like Sonic 2 Shume 2 etc.
The DC is dead but its organs have been donated to help other consoles live.
