Salomon Skis?

From the model number, this ski must be from the 95 year or earlier - so is best suited for the dustbin.
If you are looking for a ski, tell me what ability/skiing etc and i'll recommend something....

Dave,
Couldn't agree more mate! These Skis were good.....in 1993 when I was doing seasons!
Dan, I would use them as rock-hoppers at a push if in good condition or get some new ones. I love Dynastar myself but you can't go far wrong with any of the well known brands - Salomon, K2, Rossignol, Voykl (sp?) etc.
Cheers,
Jon

Guys, thanks for the replys. I was given these over the weekend. So thankfully didn't cost anything.
Bin here they come.
Dan
PS. Would it be worth keeping the bindings?

Dan - bindings - bin em also. Probably an old Salomon S600 or earlier. The bindings are the only thing giving protection from knee injuries and having done a MCL three years ago I will NEVER ski on secondhand bindings. Your knees are worth more M8.

danny,
as jon said these were a 93 model, aimed at higher intermediates/experts. they were the most expensive salomon made at the time £350!!
im still skiing on the 8000exp
they will probably last me forever as i get slower every year

Hey ALan!
Great ski in their time! Not quite up to the required sidecut at the mo though!
Nothing wrong with being an anorak!
Couldn't agree more re. bindings-they are vital! If in doubt, always set them to a lower din setting so they will release you in a bad fall.
Cheers,
Jon

I'm on Atomic Beta Race 10.22 GS race skis - the same as Herman Maier uses (except he's a bit more useful than me on them!!!).
Stiff as hell, great fun, a bit scary off piste!!
