Question

I think I know where I stand with this but thought I'd ask anyway....

I'm a bit of a Bond fan and I bought Goldeneye on DVD before Christmas, as it was one of the films I needed to complete my collection. As I'd seen it recently, I didn't watch it immediately, but rather it sat on the shelf at home.

Tried it last night and neither my DVD player nor PS2 recognise it as a DVD when I insert it into the player. I can't find my receipt anywhere.

I'm going to take it back to MVC today and see what they say, but am I right in assuming that they have no obligation whatsoever to replace it, as without the receipt, I can't prove I bought it from them?

As long as you don't ask for a refund or a differnt Film I cant see them kicking up a fuss.

Don't stress - I did this once with a CD. Took it home - it didn't play but by the time I got in gear to take it back to town, the shop had gone. So I took it into WHSmiths and said that I had purchased it from them and could I swap it, please.

They had no issue with swapping it out as I was asking for the identical CD in return.

I honestly can't remember. I was hoping that in the event of a problem, they might keep records of what customers buy when they use their MVC card - which I certainly would have done.

Grovesey - hope so, I simply want a copy of Goldeneye that plays.
