Just bought my daughter a SONY D-CJ01 CD/MP3 player, very nice it is too
Now, I have just realised that it will not recognise WMA files - the type that Windows Media Player records!! I cannot record MP3's using Windows Media Player!!
I have NERO CD Burning software and it does not appear to be able to save files on the HD as MP3's Either???!!!
I can download a free ripper from the internet, I know, but which one should I use - NOTE:- I do NOT want it to invade all of my audio files, I need it to just sit there passive until required to do a job - as I prefer Windows Media Player to play all my audio/video. Anyone know of a Windows Media Player download that allows WMP to rip as MP3 files??
I will post this in computers as well, but wanted a fast response - sorry mods (will you forgive me??!!)
Any help appreciated
Pete

No - I'm on about in future.
The only way I think you can convert to MP3 is to drag / drop using Nero and make a normal audio CD. Then use a mp3 ripping program like musicmatch jukebox or CDEX.
The only other way i can think of is to use total Recorder or something like that.

Mr pslewis I have converted many a MP3 into Audio but not the other way round. But I think I will be right in telling you that CDR win or now called Roxio ? will transfer Audio into MP3. If you use Nero Burner to change to Audio you can reverse the process back. Like I said never done it good luck Win mx is a good site.

As I said BURR, Windows Media Player will not let me save as MP3
What I am trying to do is:- Save tracks from CD/TAPE/RADIO/PHONO onto my Hard Disk as MP3's
Am I missing another way of doing it?? I am a bit thick when it comes to IT
