At present I have been in my job for 15 months, in a fairly specialist field selling IP services via satellite to a variety of markets, but primarily to Central and Eastern Asia.

I have covered VoIP and a variety of different delivery mechanisms aside from satellite, but not in any great detail - so my knowledge is fairly limited.

Prior to that I was working with one of the best estate agents in the country which I loved, but the career path ( and financial gains ) were fairly limited due to the number of senior staff employed.

Now for various reason I may change jobs soon, but the questions I have are: -

Telecomms at present is fairly depressed, with a number of highly experienced and skilled individual looking for jobs. With my ( comparitively limited ) skills and knowledge, I am worried that it may be a futile and embarrasing exercise looking for jobs in a similar field, but if I get out of the industry is it going to look bad on my C.V. if / when I want to get back in.

HELP all confused !
