As far as I'm aware Zoe's written of Pug which has been returned to us is ours to do with as we wish. Can I repair the car and put it back on the road or not?

If it's a "C" write off, then yes, you can. Have you paid the salvage rights?

An "A" write off is "scrap it".
A "B" write off is "Can be used for parts".
