Disturbing article Mick - how can these guys vote on 100s of issues a day? Seem crazy to me and reinforces everything that is bad about the EU.

One thing that really wound me up a few days ago was hearing that pompous g*t Jack Straw describe the last fuel protest as 'mindless thugery' - really? I didn't see pitch battles outside the refineries or people fighting on the forecourts - just a lot of angry people who are fed up with not being listened to.

The most concerning thing is that, even without any blockades, the press and hearsay will cause panic buying in the days up to Nov 15 and this will cause shortages anyway.

 

.. and as Nov 15th is my birthday, can I ask for a litre of SUL from each and everyone of you ?

Reading the paper over the weekend it would seem that the actual date that the 60 days is over is 13th November. Whats the bet that there will be a petrol shortage even if they don't set up any blockades because people will be panic buying before this date just incase something happens??

When is the pre-budget statement made. i thought that they were going to say something about petrol in that, and try to defuse the situation.
