Chizz - what sort of memory storage does it use? Smart Media or something? Whatever it is you should be able to get a reader for it for your PC. That's a lot faster than using cables, at least it is on mine. I recently bought an Olympus 2020 Zoom, which uses Smart Media cards. I got a reader that goes in the floppy disk drive of my PC and pretends its a floppy disk. You just put the Smart media card in the reader and slot it in the PC. Cost about £75.

Nick - not a stupid question at all. Two reasons. Firstly, the serial connector is apparently very slow; secondly, I already had the reader as I have another gadget that uses Smart Media and doesn't have a serial connection.

David

This might be a stupid question but....

Why didn't you just use the supplied serial connector?

What you need I think is QVLink.exe, its a small casio program that allows you to browse the pictures on the camera adn download the ones you want via the cable.
I can email it you if you like.

It's 128kb or 48kb if zipped. Let me know.

Just for info i bought my smart reader thingy fro Jessops for £40, which probably means you can get them cheaper if you really hunt around.

It's really nice, plugs into USB port and becomes a drive you can manipulate in exporer or any file dialog box in windows and is really quick. You can delete, rename, copy to etc like any other drive.

If you use your camera a lot I'd say an essential purchase.

Cheers

Simon
