I have taken on tutoring a friends granddaughter for her GCSE Maths and assumed it was out of the goodness of my heart.

I now discover he is keen to pay me but I haven't a clue what the going rate is, or what to suggest as a figure to him.

Ideas?

Cool

For my Physics home tuition in order to prep me for the s-level paper - I was paying £10ph. As my tutor had recommended this person, she allowed me discount and the lessons regularly ran over an hour. Her normal charge was £15-20ph.

Thanks. I guess I'll ask for £10 a session. Usually about a hour and a half.

S Physiscs - Did you pass? I took it and passed but have never found a use for it.
