Are these the same as Revenue Generating Cameras?

Only I sped underneath one this morning on the A14 doing more than I should.... It was a van parked on a bridge, before a permanent speed camera but the van had SAFETY CAMERA written on the side...

Bollards....

Do they flash or anything because I didn't see that...but I was going fairly fast...

Although, if I'm lucky, they'll have sent it to the Golf that was in front of me....

No they don't flash. Time to cross those fingers perhaps.

What a great start...

Maybe I can convince HR to say that they don't know who was driving....

Refuse to accept any registered mail that comes to your house for the next 14 days, then accept it on the 16th or 17th day. Invalid then, :eek

Untrue. The police only have to make attempts to contact the owner, makes no difference if you don't take the letter.

Company car, unfortunately, Rich. It will go to HR who may then decide to send it to me...

There goes my clean licence...

Fingers crossed for 2 weeks...

So...I have to hope that either a) they weren't interested in the Pug, not believing it can go that fast anyway, b) more interested in the Golf TDi in front of me, c) pointing the wrong way, d) forgotten to load film or e) just using scare tactics...

Chances of any of these?

How far away is their range?

The camera is connected to a video recorder, so they just leave it switched on.... any cars that exceed the speed limit whilst its running are "got"

Your chances really come down to the speed you were going. I went past one at coming on for 90 (in a 70) and got away with it. I consider myself very lucky!

Hmmm...95 down to 70 in a very short space of time and about 50 yards away from the camera.
