Anyone into a bit of a punt now and then. I've been using betfair.com last couple of weeks for my footie bets, better odds than most online bookies and you can lay as well as bet which is pretty good.

Just started Got a free £25 with www.eurobet.co.uk. Have placed 5 football bets, just on the win, nothing fancy and won all 5. Up £170.
My moment of glory was Utd beating liverpool and winning me £82 Made beating the scousers even sweeter.

Rik,
I had been a user of paddypower and fairbet(till it went **** up) and last week I got the tip on Betfair, just watching the odds and better so far on the footie. I am on Man U and Aberdeen tonight. You get a free 10er back after your first bet on paddypower.
Cheers

I've got an account with Ladbrokes - netted me £50 when Solberg won Rally GB.
I was also part of the team who did a lot of early development behind one of betting sites.

Betfair is the daddy... It's turnover is growing weeek on week and it is the one that has got the bookies running scared
The betting exhanges will always offer better odds than the bookies as there are enough players uot there now constantly hunting for arb opportunities (not to mention the bookies themselves hedging positions on Betfair)
I would not be a buyer of shares in any bookie IMHO
If you've not tried Betfair and actually want to take a bet on something in the future then you would be daft not to take a look.... the odds are better than the bookies and you can open an account there and then with your switch card.
I'm just a happy customer by the way.

I used WilliamHill a while back, someone gave em a tip, placed £50 and it came in at 8-1.. result.
I took my money and run.. if I got into it, I'd lose a fortune.

Always remember the winners:
Les Ferdinand to score the 20,000th goal of the premiership. That brought in a tidy sum.
Red Marauder (deeply unfancied) winning the 2000 Grand National. Had an each way on it - brought in a monkey.
Can't remember the losers. Too many of 'em.
Charlie.
