Question

Going to take the Scoob to the Isle of Man in a couple of weeks and am planning on installing a camcorder somewhere in the car to video a few laps round the mountain.I have raced bikes there in the Manx Grand Prix so i know my way round.
I need some advice on what Camcorder to buy(budget of up to around £500) and where/how best to mount it in the car.
Anyone tried anything like this with any success?
Cheers.
Paul.

Thumbs up

Acting on advice i have bought a JVC DVL-160EK mini DV digital camcorder. It's DV out only but i will only be storing the images on VHS casettes.A total bargain at £400 with tripod and 5 tapes thrown in for nothing.(jessops in Leeds)
Also ordered a Suction mount Camcorder kit from the link website.
Thanks very much guys.
The results will be posted on here.
By the way David have you got any ECU's built up yet? Am dying to try one.
Cheers.
Paul.

Talking

Am doing the same task. The suction mount is a well made bit of kit.Service from Hague was great.Ordered 11am Thursday/delivered first thing Friday.Good instructions also.

Slightly bigger budget for camcorder so going for the Canon MV550i.
Will buy on line at Nomatica,PRC or QED.
