re-writeable DVD players
#1
Hi Guys,
I wonder if anyone owns one of these, if so :
How much are the rewriteable DVD's ?
Can you copy all DVD's ?
Any pro's/con's ?
Any makes better than others ?
Thanks in advance,
Regards,
Andyp

About £6
Can you copy all DVD's ?
No. You cannot copy any. Same protection as stops you taping DVD's onto a vcr.

Personally I'd wait till they come down in price and the formatting stabilises. If you do want one, get the phillips one that doesn't use a caddy for the dvd disc.
The real downside to recordable DVD is that to record for a long period of time, the quality suffers. Similar to using long play on a normal VCR.
The benefits are that you can index your recordings very easily, and once recorded the quality doesn't degrade.
Remember, the quality of the recordings is only as good as the signal you give it, so a digital input is best.
