does this fat bloke know anything?

Telling 19 year olds to go out and spend 8-10k on a new car to get free insurance? Surely the reason the premiums are so expensive is because you are trying to insure a 10k car! Also, the amount you spend in interest will more than offset the premium and the fact a 1.2 Clio will be worth about, erm, fack all in 5 years once you've finished paying for it! Pretty expensive 'free' insurance

Surely the best advice is to buy a cheaper car.

Maybe manufacurers pay a fee to get their marques shown on TG?

rant off... for now

Not really the free insurance (2years) more than paid for itself when I got a peugeot 306 brand new at 19 two years free saved me 4k on insurance even ignoring the seven crashes I had in that time.

Btw insurance at the time was over £950 for a £500 fiesta

Agreed with Mr Evolution. I've seen 18/19 year olds with 3rd party insurance for £1k value cars quoted at over £1500!!!!

If they can afford the car, then the free insurance makes sense.

but two years free insurance is twice as much as 1 year which is the current offer.

I bet the first year depreciation is more than they would pay for a years insurance.

BuRR,

With third party insurance the Ins Co is not bothered about the cost of the car, just the risk of the driver to damage other peoples

I dont doubt it. When I first bought a car, I only went for TPFF as FC was not far off the cost of the car. Luckily, I didn't have any accidents during that period.
