Cool

I've given up smoking and am now on day 5!! I'm feeling quite good and impressed at my will power (I gave up before for 4 years and started again for some unexplicable reason!!!) Just thought I would share that with you all as i'm well pleased with myself!!! I have even been p*ssed and didn't have one! Boyfriend is also still smoking in the house. Oh yeah, by the way, I'm selling my Scoob. Anyone intersested?!?!?!

I smoked from the age of 11 and stopped 3 1/2 years ago - thats a long, long time!!

For the first 12 months I felt AWFUL, more ill than I had ever felt - but NOW, well, its well worth it!!

Katana

Have a read of "C" by John Diamond, it was the closest I ever came to giving up, He was Nigella Lawsons Husband, it is a fantastic book and so well written, after reading that the guilt I felt from smoking was awful, but im a weak willed ****** and still smoke, I will have to read again with patches and hopefully the will power will return along with the guilt and I can do it

Read the book anyway its a very moving story and its written without the author making you feel sorry for him, one of the best personal accounts ive read.

The Sunday afternoon book club is now closed

Not yet mate but I doubt that a book can change me. I mean when I was young I watched bambi and 30 minutes later, I was eating venisson.
