Apparently they are recording now with a view to release early next year.

Now Astbury always tried to sing with a yank accent but that is ridiculous, what are Manzarek and the others thinking, are they skint, are they even involved?? its obvious this is a financial thing, such an un-Doors thing to do, James Douglas must be spinning in his grave!

Was going to be eddie vedder about 7 years ago but never happened. Doors released album after mr mojo risin's death and did pants, so who knows. Cant think that they are skint with all the royalties and back catalogue but who knows. Ian astbury good vocalist but the doors? Lets hear it

Cant imagine the remaining Doors are skint, er the records still sell, espec after the Doors film, maybe they just want to make music again and why shouldnt they ?

As long as Ian Astbury doesent try to take off Jim Morrison, people forget that the Doors sound was made up of four distinct styles from four individuals, Jim Morrison was a quarter of that, 75% authentic sounds okay to me, you never know it may be the best Doors album yet....
