simple question about DECT phones......
#1
Just bought one yesterday and setting it up.
With my old phone if someone rang it would keep ringing until you answered. With this one it only rings a maximum of 10 rings, then cuts off.You can also set it for the answerphone to cut in after 7 rings, but you cant set it to just keep ringing indefinately.
The thing is 10 rings aint that long and if your outside etc,you may not make it.
Rang the V-Tech helpline and they said this is standard on all digital phones.
Is it?????
Thanks,Paul...

Not standard as far as our two phones go.
Samsung and Philips DECT phones and they ring as long as the person phoning can be bothered to wait.
One thing to check (my sister had this when she moved house) is that you haven't got BTs AnswerPhone Service (whatever it is called) 1571 thingy on your line.
I.e. maybe the phone rings for 10 rings then cuts over the BTs service ?
Apart from that, no idea
Cheers
