ARRRRRRRRRRRRGH! I HATE rear foglights!! I can cope with (properly aligned) front ones (ie. NOT Pug 406 floodlights). But rears, ARGH! Especially when there is the slightest bit of rain or something.
And its my understanding that the only time rear foglights are meant to be used is in severely reduced visability when there is not a car immediately following. You are SUPPOSED to turn them off when some poor bugger manages to be behind you.
Front fogs, even when blinding, flash by, but rear ones cause a BLOB on your retina for a few mins. I put full beam on and flash my front fogs at ppl who have rears on for no reason. (With full beam taken off when oncoming traffic comes of course).
Unfortunately you usually find they adjust their rear view mirror as they are incapable of working out they are *****.
</GRRRRRRRRR MODE>
Edited because I can't string a sentence together...

Thanks to all the ar$eholes with front and rear fog lights on in Aberdeen rush hour tonight. Roughly 50% of oncoming traffic had front fogs on - didn't realise how many cars have them.
Thanks for putting me in a right **** of a mood.
Special thanks to the woman in the Rover 200 who put her rears on at Hazlehead with me following, and the gadgy on the Nissan/Honda/whatever who still needed them on in the village.
Mike.

Andy,
spot on mate. I did exactly that with the 2 rears mentioned, both too stupid to understand. Almost followed the Honda bloke home to explain.
Terzo, I know there's worse things going on in the world, but I'm not faced directly with them on my way home

Foglights can be taken out of action, using various methods. Crash into the car.
Smash the lights with a hammer ( make sure the car has stopped )
Shoot them with an air rifle...
It often makes me wonder, what does the driver think that big bright light on the dash means???? DOPEY B**TARDS
Use foglights in seriously reduced visibilty.....that AFAIK means less than 100yds...so if you can see the car in front of you, you probably dont need fog lights, either that or you are driving too close, and are a bloody danger to us all either way.
Get off the road. or have your lights well and truly smashed. Then think why someone has smashed them...

You're gonna love this
One of my headlight bulbs decided to die earlier and i with no spare till tomorrow, i had to drive with sidelights and fogs on (to make sure i was still seen). Checked first, and my fogs point properly at the floor.
I did, however, manage to not press the rear foglight button..., even though it was raining !!
