Thinking of buying a pair of walkie talkies to use when Skiing, Mountain biking, etc. Does anyone have any recommendations / advice?
Considering Motorola Talkabout T5522 - any good?
Cheers,
Ian.

For maximun usage check out CB handhelds.
PMRs can be problematic when big things are in the way, i.e. mountains. CBs are also better for in car usage.
I'm in Scotland so no point in linking stockists unless you really want me to.

Cobra ,Micro talk.PR9ooDx
Complete with batteries and hands free. Voice act.15.GMRS channels.7.shared FRS channels. 38.CTCSS codes. Easy 5 mile range.
Sent from America for £61.00 a pair. The GMRS channels give a great distance..none of this 1-2 mile stuff!!
Find them at "Sears"/"walmart" etc. No duty paid.
