Vandalised Gatso's Pictures

That 5th picture (in Wales) seems to have a GATSO just after a juntion. You'd have to put your boot down to get caught there.....
(could be a cross roads I suppose, but still!)

Word is a working unit costs about 30K that means some gantries on the M25 have 120k kit just sitting there.
It beats me why they just don't get nicked.....
Would you leave 30K equipment stuck on a post in the middle of Neasden or Brentford or ....... the list is endless. Kids these days 'll nick anything - look at how they've had to make the money boxes on phone boots into mini safes!
And why is it that only the ones on fast, straight, safe roads are real, like the M4 coming into London, the A4 coming into London, The Heyes bypass etc...... Why is it that the ones in quiet villages like Pangbourne or Ascot where children are far more likely to run out into the road (and therefore you can almost justify the need for these monstrosities) are dummies????
Rant over!
PS if they have replace the above cameras in the two locations mentioned above with real ones since I was last there any you get done Tuff!

The one in Cheltenham has been down for nearly two years. The two that were leaning at 45 degrees further East have recently been taken down altogether so you could argue that the vandals are having the required effect.
Sometimes you've got to *make* the politicians listen, because they usually only hear what they want to hear

New type of Plate out soon, got a layer of Liquid crystalls. Push a button and you blank your plate! Great for late night work, but i would be careful if you use it in trafic. Lots of grasses about!

Have a look at this and goto the 'Killed Gatso's' section. This was taken from the Dutch 'Tuf Tuf' club. They seem to like having a go at their police force in the Netherlands! There was a good article on the guy who runs it in the Telegraph yesterday.

lol quality. They probably put a brand new one up a few days later courtesy of the tax payer but ha its well worth it. Wish I had the ***** to go do it - if we all did then it might make them think twice about using them.

Simon, I was thinking the same thing, AFAIK there are a few thousand Gatso's around the country. If everyone who was annoyed by the stupid placing of most of them did something about it.....well maybe things might change!
Just waiting for my testies to grow a bit and I'll follow my own advice.
