Hopefully we will be exchanging contracts on our house sale later this week, and we'll be moving from Kent to Scotland as soon as we can after that.

However, we've currently got quotes for the move from Pickfords and Bishops Move, but they're starting to get booked up in the run-up to Christmas. Rather than wait for 2 weeks just until they can do the move, I want to find out about any other removal/relocation companies who might be available.

So, any suggestions? We want to use a large company (rather than a local firm) because of the scale/distance of the move - we're taking the entire contents of a large 4-bed house over 450 miles, meaning it's a 3-day move.

Don't be put off by the website, they're more into removals these days than couriers. V.good.

Just received the quote back from them. Quote for Pickfords was about £1900, the same quote for Bishops Move was £1800 or so.

Moves have quoted £3540!!!!
