pet shop boys....honestly, not kidding! fantastic songs. ok, neil tennant sounds a bit iffy at times, but the songwriting is top quality. suburbia is one of my all time faves

followed by the human league. had a thing for the dark haired bird when i was young and 'being boiled' is still ****** cool

Have to agree with PSB but only up to the Introspective album, everything after that was just a litle too, um, camp for my taste. West End Girls is still a fantastic track.

What about Jean Jacques Perrey? Alright, he wasn't band as such...

Edited to correct my bad speelung.

agree notorious, i thought 'very' was good (and all before that), but then they started banging on about being gay etc and got a bit mincy. which doesnt go down well if youve got a bird in the car and yer on the pull

spose theyre one of them bands that you have to secretly like , but if you say you do, people raise their eyebrows

ho-hum, secret PSB fan it is then

oh, heres another. say hello wave goodbye 12" version by soft cell, what a cracker!

I saw Fadget last year aswell supporting depeche mode, excellent, Ricky's Hand was awesome. Very sad news to hear that he died this year

1. Depeche Mode
2. Gary Numan
3. Human League (original line up inc Ware\Marsh)
4. Fad Gadget
5. John Foxx
6. OMD

I feel like plugging my Roland synth and Drum Machine into the mains and bashing out a few of the classics

Mr Flibble plays Synth Pop Classics

Cool

I too saw Fad Gadget supporting Depeche Mode last year and I have to say I thought they were complete Sh!te, almost comical in how truely crap they are. Word of advice for the frontman, don't tell an Audience they are the worst f***ing audience you have ever seen.

Edited to say, Didn't realise that Frank Tovey (Fad Gadget) died on April 3rd this year.

Anyway top synth bands have to be :

1) Depeche Mode
2) Pet Shop Boys

Each to their own, but i thought he was awesome.

If anyone is in the Bath area you could come and see me live at 2 small venues in the near future.

Anyone heard of 'Our Daughters Wedding'? they had a minor hit with lawn chairs in 1980 i think.
