Most Branded speakers are made in the far east. Or at least their components are, drivers, crossovers etc.
There are about three big players making drivers, who sell these to "British" speaker companies.
Why pay double the ammount to get the same thing with a badge on?
Back in my days of hi-fi retail I remember replacing the drive unit in a £300 pair of "British" speakers. The part came direct from fostex, I think? As the speaker company were unable to supply the part direct. We were invoice about £3 for the driver, on a £300 pair of speakers!
Just thought that others may be interested in buying "direct", now if only they did DVD's as well!
