This is what 21 tonnes of Komatsu's finest looks like. After it has sank !
Our driver was digging out for a pond when he tracked over a soft spot and the machine literally sank up to the cab
Eventually pulled it out with winches 5 days later.

OK - for the un-enlightened 
1st pic shows this yellow hi-mac looking as if its been driven deep into this bog by a bloke in a blue checked shirt - D&S Kitching the operators.
2nd pic driver has departed as hi-mac is nose first with mud halfway up the cab - no sight of any tracks!
3rd pic more of a close up of the cab showing brown brackish water swirling round the seat.
4th pic shows driver on top of engine compartment, but hi-mac looks level and partically out?
5th usual sort of now what the F*** do we do now type pic
6th of a very dirty looking hi-mac

Aw i want to see the pics too.
how long did it take to recover it , i got my landrover stuck past its axels in a peat bog last year took 2 days and a tractor and JCB to remove it

id loved to have seen the operates face when it started to go down , and again when he had to ring the boss :-)
what were the winches mounted on to be able to pull 20+ ton of steel out of a bog ?
ive allways fancied a crack at driving a digger , i used to spend my school hols with my mates down at the local quarry (now shut :-() watching all the diggers and dumpers working , then when its closed for the night we could go in and get on the machine as they were never locked
