The other day I had some window tints done on my Skyline,I noticed alot of water and cleaner was on my speakers and falling down the vents on the rear shelf.I thought nothing of it untill I drove home and faults starting to appear. The 4wd and abs lights came on and the torque guage is moving when it should not indicating power is being dumped to the front wheels.
After a call to a Skyline specialist he told me that is was due to water getting onto the ecu that controls all of the above. It looks like I will have to replace the Ecu at a cost of £800.
The tinting company have caused this so how do I go about getting them to pay up for the damage caused?
I informed the tinting company on the day what has happened and they did not indicate if they would or would not do anything..
I don`t want to pay £800 myself so I want to get it right when I go back to them........
