Depends who your mates are, and how good mates they are.
Sorry I don't live nearer mate (or have the relevant skills ), otherwise I'd certainly have helped. My theory is you never know when the person you help out can eventually help you out. (if that makes sense)

Best bet is contact your local sub aqua club...someone there will more then likely do it for the fun of it and for a few beers in the pub afterwards..oh and one tip tell em it is not worth much but of deep sentimental value

Where abouts is this lake in Milton Keynes?
Is it the lake you can see from the M1 on the West side of the motorway
that they use for water-skiing?
Is it normal water or polluted at all?
When did he lose it?

The watch was my grandads and isn't worth all that much and although I will get it back I don't want to have to start offering £500-£1000 pounds to recover a seventy pound watch.

For those who are interested the diver who replied on here, Rod Bateman has just found my watch thanks to Fuzz for placing the advert that got his attention.
