Mate, I can state quite categorically that I've been completely pants with money in the past. You are not alone It's now all clear, but it wasn't great for a while.

Adding it up, and more importantly knowing where you are, is a GOOD thing! I never used to know where I was (other than the wrong end of my overdraft ). Now, with a combination of online banking and a banking program on my Psion, I know where I am, and where I'm going. I managed to sort things out, and pay for a wedding once I'd got on top of things, so think of it as a good move

OK, I thought I had a problem until now. My mortgage FAR outweighs my personal debt, so I must be OK right?
Made me happy now.

LOL @ MarkO
I think Alvin would be saying:
"OK, this 14 teir wedding cake made for the Sultan of Brunei is your total debt, this mini-cookie is your income. You're screwed, fake your death and live as a tramp, it's your only hope"

notorious, what a great thread starter mate
I am like you, **** with money....the missus is much better at saving/not spending than me which is unusual for a woman.
Just went out on Saturday & bought ourselves a gucci each & I treat her to some jewelery as well....had to force her to go, most blokes would give their right arm for a woman like that
Luckily for me, my parents just gave me a decent lump sum to help us out.

Is anyone else as **** with money as me?

S**T with money is an understatement. I just sold my house, made a tidy profit, then used the entire profit to pay off my other debts.
Now i've got no debts and no money and no house. You just cant win.

While you're in the mood, try workin this one out:
How much money would you have if you were happy to just have a car as transport, rather than a prized possession

CrisPDuk,
Thats worrying. I would be about 400 quid a month better off if i sold the scoob and bought a corsa.
But then again.... i'd have to drive a vauxhall...nah... i'll just stick to the scoob

So who's going to be the first to drop in some *actual* figures of how much debt they are in.
I suspect I'll be near the top of the list...
mortgages not allowed
Andy
