Before I go and buy a game cube...

Are there any places that are doing really good deals. It's for my son and he wants a GC but not the PS2 or Xbox. I did hear a rumour that the price was just about to dip too, any truth in this?
He wants the CG, crazy taxi, rogue squadron, luigis mansion, mem card, extra controller.
Any advice greatly received

Prices are not due to dip, as the console is the cheapest of the three as it is.
All depends if he wants it now or can hang on till Crimbo for deals.
Buy off the internet is my HO.

Micro$oft has bought Rare, not Capcom.
The X-Box, while being a superior machine in some respects has failed to live up to the hype and doesn't sell very well in all it's territories.
Throwing money at it will not make it succeed Mr Gates.
Learn this lesson or go the way of the Dreamcast.
Gamecube and PS2 are probably the better machines to plump for, and if you loved Mario 64, you'll love Mario Sunshine !
It's a personal preference in the end.
If you don't have a DVD, then the PS2 will edge the Gamcube out of the frame.

The Capcom thing is still a rumour at the moment, yet to be confirmed.
The X-Box IMO is still a far better machine than any other current console. There may be less games but its quality, not quantity that counts. The X-Box is a good long-term bet for quality games.
