Time to replace the current dect phone with one a bit more modern.
Want a cordless one (obviously) in silver with an answering machine too.
Like the look of this one
Anyone else got any ideas ?

Steve,
I have that exact model in my office at home (I work from home). Had it for more than six months now without any problems. Bit expensive when I bought it but liked the fact that the handset was small. Feels just like using a mobile phone (active flip and all that) but without the expense.
Range is also good. My office is at the top of the house (2nd floor) and I still get perfect reception at the top of the garden (approx 130ft away).
Speakerphone, answerphone etc. all work as expected. You even get a hands free kit for the handset, i.e. single earpiece, push to answer/ring off button on the wire. Never use it mind
Cheers

That samsung is quite good - I also looked at it.
In the end I bought a Panasonic two handset DECT answerphone bundle for £120. Works very well, and a comprehenive feature set (including a three-colour switchable backlight!).
In the end I decided the Samsung was too small and would constantly be getting lost down the side of the sofa as I don't carry it around at home all the time.
Cheers,
Alex

Ah well
I actually have mine on medium and can hear fine. Probably wouldn't be any good in an iron works, but there again I bought it for my house
