if you buy one from the ppl on ebay etc can you just put her replacement sim (which she has) in the second hand phone? or is there more to it?

Thumbs up

I bought a second hand Nokia, has been working fine since March I think you might have to watch which network the phone was on, I'm on Orange and so was the phone I bought

Indeed, Orange & One2One/T Mobile lock their phones so theey only work on their network. Can be unlocked for a fee, but easier to buy a replacement which was previously on your network.

I lost my 6210 last week, T Mobile Contract, and found the best option was a new one from them, I got the new 6310i tri band for £135 which included a supplement because my contract had not yet run for 12 months, I thought that was fairly reasonable.

Wink

If the phone is more than a year old and is on a contract then the it's probably cheapest to get on from the current service provider as an upgrade.

You'll have to get a replacement SIM card from them anyway.

Orange & T-Mobile(One2One) lock their handsets - these can be undone but that costs, so it's easier to avoid unless you're on that network.

Vodafone & O2 (Cellnet) have their contract phones unlocked so a 6210 should be fine on any network. They do lock some of the pay as you co phones though.
