A number of us from north of the border are going on the IoM trip this week.
The plan is that we head down on Wednesday afternoon and kip in a Travel Lodge type establishment (or whatever).
We're all on the 10:30 SeaCat crossing on Thursday morning.
We'd like to find somewhere about an hour's drive from the SeaCat terminal.
Some of the peeps may be paranoid about their cars getting pinched or damaged - so this is a factor.
Any advice on where we could stay would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Well all I know is when I last went to Liverpool all my mate who was with me would say was it was inhabited by a bunch of theives. I took issue with this and said that it was unfair to tar the whole city with the same brush.
As it would happen he got his credit card nicked whilst we were in the city centre, so it looks like he was right after all...............
Sorry I can't offer any useful advice, but I always smile when i recount this story, so I thought I would share it with a few others.

Liverpool is a city with the same or less amount of crime as other cities of its size.
Its not as bad as everyone makes out,if your going on the IOM ferry and your taking you car, simply stay in the the CROWN PLAZA,or the ATLANTIC TOWER hotel both 2mins walk away.Dont worry about your cars, coz the car park has CCTV and mobile security guards, what more do you want.
PS also only 10 mins walk from Angels and Aphrodites bars, which come highly recomended.
