Question

Does anyone know of anywhere to buy those ink cartridges that burst when boxes are opened (like the ones used by Securicor and the likes) ?
This is for security reasons, not practical jokes.

I REALLY need your help on this one folks !!!

Question

Get in touch with your local Alarm wholesaler as they might be able to put you in the right direction

Been there done that but still no further forward ??

This is to help with the disappearance of a good few £k so the more help the better.

Covert CCTV has been ruled out and the ink thing is the only thing I can think of. Any other ideas ??

PG,

Depends on the items in question, maybe a tracking device ?

It is pound notes so a tracking system wouldnt do.
Marking the notes is of no use either as the notes are not likely to be returned into the business in any way.
We do not want to have the entire workforce notified nor have them all feel they are under suspicion as there is only really one person who has the oppertunity to take anything. We would like to catch them red handed so to speak and give them the chance to give it back.

Cheers

Paul,

Any chance you could alarm the cash box itself. I.e. put something inside to alert you when it is opened ? Simple buzzer linked to a battery and a light sensor as a trigger ?

Cheers

Yup, I had thought of that using a personal attack alarm with some way of pulling the pin as the lid is opened???
It would alert others to this happening but wouldnt leave its mark.
Dunno ? I will ask and see if this is an option.

Cant help but think the ink thing is the way to go....at the very least the name of these things would do so as I can search Google or the likes without getting toner or printer cartridges

You have to inform staff that they are being monitored with cameras otherwise you are breaking their privacy laws, same as with e-mails and telephones.
