I have found that if you have everything enabled on your euro 550, it detects police stations & supermarkets every time.
I pass a police station almost every time I go out unfortunatly
mind you, doesn't ever say laser though as crispduk has also stated.

Anyone know ? Came past a police station on the way to work as normal this mornin and for the first time ever (at this location), the snooper went off.
Could it be they were calibrating the gun before takin it out to snare some poor bu99er ?

I wouldn't have thought so, as far as I am aware they are an inductive proximity switch, which works by magnetically sensing objects within a very close range. AFAIK they don't sense objects more than a foot away, therefore it is highly unlikely that they would affect a radar detector
