i bought a private plate from ebay a whilr ago and 3 weeks ago sent all my paperwork to the seller who submitted it to the VRO in Newcastle upon Tyne.
My tax runs out this weekend and seeing as the VRO have my mot and insurance i can't re-tax it and because the office is closed i cant get in touch with them to see how long the transfer will take (not allowed calls during work) what can i do?

shouldnt be a problem, your local dvla office will explain. cherished xfers can take up to six weeks to complete. there will be a process in place for this.

the dvla website is v good and you actually get responses very quickly to email queries...
