Philips DVD Recorders?????

I am going to buy a DVD recorder and was wondering if anybody on here already has one. I know there is a format war going on with Philips, Panasonic and Sony. From what I can gather it looks like Philips are going to come out on top, so I am interested in getting a Philips one. Richer Sounds do a Philips DVDR880 for £399, has anybody got one???? I would appreciate any response from anyone with a DVD recorder of any make.

PS - Whats the difference between DVD-R\DVD-RW and DVD+R\DVD+RW

Yeah I agree, I've been waiting for it all to settle down since the end of last year. According to the latest magazines it look like Philips will win the war due to it being more accessable to Joe Public. We'll have to wait and see.
