Thumbs up

Hello all,

Well, I managed to get my hands on the new 6310i from Orange yest and thought I would give my views, if anyone's interested

First impressions.
Slightly lighter than 6210e
Looks superb in silver
Blue backlight is very cool indeed
Same easy to use OS
Key shapes are slightly different but feel fine
Great improvement on actual speed - very quick now
Java applications quite useful (Currency converter and World time)
Some good new tunes

Can't think of anything else as yet. I haven't tried the Bluetooth as yet but I am tempted with the Nokia earpiece when it arrives. Overall, a well spent £99 upgrade with £20 back on my 7110e.

Cheers,

Mossman

The 6510 is about the same as a 6310i as an 8210 is to a 6310. ie. not very.

The 6310i has loads more features.

I was hanging on for the 7610. How do they compare?

Mossman,

glad to hear that you like it. I am probably just about to upgrade too (from a 6210) as those nice Orange chaps let you do so after 12 months. Hopefully all my cables n'stuff will work with it.

I can't believe that you still had your 7110e though!!

Wink

I expect my kids could contribute to this thread but as for me so long as I can dial a number and someone answers on the other end then thats OK with me.

Mossman,

Did you do the upgrade direct with Orange or through a dealer?

I've still got a 7110 and could do with upgrading. My spring loading cover still works after 2 1/2 years though!

I'm a bit confused fella, how come you have been able to get one as their site still says they are commming soon.... ?

I filled in the form 3 months ago and still havnt had any info from the jokers....

Still got a 7110 and the spring still works on mine too !!! must be some sort of record... however it is the 5th one I had and had all the usual faults, locking up, WAP crashing, no reception etc.

Adrian/Ids,

I got mine through the orange shop in Hull on Friday. They literally were out that day and they only had 5 units. Apparently like rocking horse.....
