Question

Just walking back from Sainsburys and I saw two cars parked next to each other - a rather flashy new Cooper S and a convertable BMW with *identical* number plates.

Is this possible/legal?

Possible? Clearly. Legal? No.

You could always steal one of them (I'd go for the Cooper S ) - and leave the owner to explain to the police how his number plate's on a BMW

it is strange It was a very 'unique' personalised plate so maybe the guy's an ego maniac who has two cars and can't bear not to have his fancy plates on
