At work going insane with boredom!

I have now been here 13 hours sitting around waiting for someone to finish off part of a data migration project. We had to load two systems, mine completed successfully at 11am, the other has continually failed. They upgraded the other system yesterday and are loading straight onto it with no testing. Anyone suprised it doesn't work? What a waste of time. I apparently have to sit here "in case they find any more problems". I also live 90 minutes away from home. I want my Sunday lunch (now most likely inside the microwave) and I want to be home with my wife. Worse still I am told I am only getting paid a standard 7.5 hour day. How fed up am I! Now I've bored all you with my story too. This BB has kept me sane today. Thankyou Scoobynet.
Oh to be paid for doing something I actually enjoy doing..

Ah well not quite as bored as you. Been at work since 8am but watched Hollyoaks Omnibus, F1 GP, Arsenal Match and about to watch the PGA - having Sky Digital is a god send.

I'm very jealous.
I have just been told they are making a decision at 8pm whether or not to back the whole thing out. That will mean a complete waste of a day for me and most likely next Sunday I'll be in here again. PCTV installation on my laptop in the week I think.

Know the feeling - we had to move the data centre this weekend. 31 servers to be unracked, moved, re-racked and cabled. 72 data circuits to be shifted. Worked from 7.30am on Friday morning until 2am this morning. Stopped for 6 hours sleep. Ugh. Don't fancy doing this again in a hurry.
