Needless to say the cat wasn't very impressed
Never one to miss a photo opportunity
It's not as big as it looks, must have been about 10cm in length, but fat with it
Apologies for the image size, it captures the beast best that way
Pleased with my new digi camera anyway
Sleep easy

That looks fapping huge . Just waiting now until we are taken over by Frogs (or Toads).
Picture quality is good. What camera is it mate? How much did it cost?
Thanks
Darren

Twas taken with a Canon Powershot S40 in portrait mode Wonder if I can sell it to the toad to hang on the wall Camera is about 470 quid online. Pricey, but very good quality pics, and a lot of features found on SLRs (hence why I sold my previous digi camera and SLR )
Being quite docile (the toad that is), it was easy to get close to it.

Looks like an American Bull Frog.
Stupidly some were brought over here and, of course, have multiplied and populated ponds and waterways.
Also saw one in my garden about 5 years ago. It certainly made me jump, they are fapping massive.
Not sure if there is an Environment Agency reward for their capture.

No worries Pete, I think (like PeteT) that it's a common toad (from looking in our nature book ). We've got a common frog at the other end of the garden, so we might be getting some fighting going on
The cat likes to tap frogs to make them jump, but doesn't like toads as I think they have some poison/smelly glands on their feet or something. Anyway she backed off very quick after smelling it
It hopped off after being blinded by the flash somewhere down the garden
Picture makes it look huge, but it was only about 10cm in length.
