Question

My Brother has a company van which his work provide as part of his job. The insurance has a high excess and his work want him to pay this if he has an accident. Fair enough, but he doesn't have this specified in his contract of employment.

Is there any way the company can force him to pay the excess or does it have to be written in a contract of some sort?

Exclamation

It must be part of the contract terms, in the section specifying liability over accidents in the company vehicles.

Thanks MarkO,

That's what I thought. He's facing a £350 bill for doing this http://www.scoobynet.co.uk/bbs/threa...=118692&Page=2
