Is this a cover up??? As he had been speeding he should have been breath tested..... Was he afraid of the result????

What right did the Bodyguard have to overide the officer who stopped them. The Police have shot them selves in the foot and deserve all the flack they get... We need good officers not softy's.

He should have been arrested him for failing to cooperate with the coppers request.....

Sure they will say there was "A security issue"........ yer right..
Soft police with no guts........ If he had parked on a yellow line in London the wardens would have done their job.

Police, your a joke.

Question

I think this just proves, money talks. Jack Straw 110mph,Police Force that could not prove who was driving when flashed by a camera. Man Utd car speeding drivers name not released. Or is it that the Force is CORRUPT. I think the latter.

If the bodyguard spoke to the ploice on Andrews behalf isnt that perverting the course of justice. And being as the Plod didnt take any action was he aiding and abeting a crime. I know some of you are boys in blue, so would this be a correct interpretation.

Snarly.. It was how he reacted to the copper that is the problem not just the speeding.
So is the Bodyguard a Bodyguard or a police officer???????? As he is a plod he should have said something to the sailor boy about his speed.

bet the copper who stopped him is enjoying the attention..

This whole story reminds me so much of the behaviour of the mad king of Zimbabwe, Robert Mugabe.

Will andrew also be fitting a blue light and siren to his car?

So what happens to the other drivers who had been pulled over . Would you pay a fine etc after this... What happens in court??? Your there at the same location same time as when sailor boy got stopped. How is the court going to say well "we can do you but not Him".....
It is not the message that the public want to hear...... Its very bad PR for the police /legal system(!!!!) and the royal family.

Wait till harry boy starts driving.......

Some may get off because they show cleavage, others because they pay a bribe and others because they beg nicely. Others don't get off at all (my lot in life . If he gets off easily first time round who really cares? 2nd, 3rd, 4th then lets talk again.

What upsets me is that there are members of my profession who are proud in what they do, and work hard to repair the poor image that some members of the public have of us...... (as shown in a thread not too long ago).............

....only for something like this to dash it to shreds.......

All I can do is apologise.

In answer to a question above, as far as I'm aware, Price Andrew's bodyguard is a police officer.

dont apologise, no one expects him to pay a speeding ticket anymore than we expect him to pay for the car he was sat in.

Since when has there been any consistency in traffic offences anyway?

And I agree with a post above.

If you had got away with doing 60 in a 40 would you still be posting at how disgusting it was?

Sure we would all like to get away with it!!
But my main point is the damage it could do to the reputation of the police/law and The royal family..

yes, it is hard to swallow when people in certain places of society are dealt with differently from the rest of us.

if it is any consolation Princess Anne is an avid collector of DVLA's points program!

i hope that next time any of you are stopped for similiar stuff that you receive similiar discretion and your faith in the police is restored slightly.

Princess Anne would have stepped out of the car as requested. This is my opinion based on what I know about her. She is the best royal we have and would make a great Queen. She might drive fast but I realy doubt she would have been as rude as sailor boy.
