Anyone work in this field on here?
May have a change of job coming up and want to keep my options open.
This is the sort of job i use to do in the army (satcom, mobile trunk comms etc) and still doing telecomms just now but as the industry is a bit naff at the moment i may be looking at a change to keep me on the ball
I need to find out some more info on this and any help is appreciated

Lots of the scanner (OB Trucks) companies run attached uplink trucks and all that - even news reporters can have their own portable dishes these days.
I would suggest you get in touch with OB facilities companies (Arena, Visions, Black & White, Air etc etc) as a first port of call. Speak to their tech manager to suss the field.
Were you doing vision in the army too, or only comms?
