am off there in a few weeks for hols.

am told there are masses of designer outlets there (d&g, gucci etc)where stuff is v cheap.

anyone know web links or info

There's a Prada outlet near to Montevarchi and another outlet that has Gucci and Armani (and some others but can't remember) near to Valdarno. Both are just off the main motorway between Florence and Perugia (the A1).

I can't remember the exact directions as we were given them when we got out there, but the one near Valdarno is pretty good. My girlfriend got two pairs of Armani jeans for £58.
