More of My Labour Moans...

Gordon Brown on Monday that social housing would receive a £1.4bn boost in an effort to help key public sector workers buy homes.
I strongly object to the government using my taxes to help others buy grossly overpriced property. It is a truly narrow minded, unfair, uninclusionist and just a plain stupid idea - can the government not see that this will make the problem even worse for everyone else…

Don't forget that they're introducing "Super Schools" for braniacs, usually in higher earning areas.. which will receive more money.. that the more needy schools.
Just plain stupid.

Given that they claimed to be handling the UK economy so well (even though it was doing well in spite of them due to the whole world doing well) do you think they'll now admit to messing it up as it all comes crashing down round their ears?
or will they blame someone else.......
time to stop the socialist experiment!

My sister is the deputy head of a primary school in the north-west. Her school is average. They have pupils from poor families and from wealthy families, they have brainiac pupils and dumb-as-a-doorpost pupils. They also have a crisis where their building was condemmed and they were forced to teach in portacabins while the school was rebuilt and now because of the money spent on the building work, they can't afford text books.
The problem is, because they are average they get no help. If they were a poorly performing school, they'd get extra funding. If they were a specialist school, or very highly performing they would get extra funding.
One of their neighbouring schools has more money than they can spend, they have a brand new computer suite, all text books are less than 2 years old all because they were performing badly, and now they get an extra grant because they have made the most improvement.
Anyone else think this situation is ridiculous?
