Servicing: you have been warned!

When I first bought my Xantia TD, (relax guys, second car!!), I had to have two new tyres on the rear as the old ones were oval and refused to balance.
I bought a pair of Pirelli P5000's which are pretty good for the car.
Recently, sitting beside my car in France, eating cherries, I was surprised to see that the o/s tyre is now a "Roadstone Dark Horse". I was even more surprised to find that the n/s tyre is now a "Sonar". Wife has not had them changed, so where the **** are my decent tyres???
I did try to tell you all about servicing b4, but was shot down in flames.
If you take your car for a sevice, check your tyres when you leave!!!!!!!!!!

Or maybe you should pay a little more and get it serviced at a reputable garage? If they nicked your tyres then they sure as hell wouldn't bother changing the oil/oil filter either!
I'm a firm believer in 'you get what you pay for'.

My brother in-law took his car in for a service and found they nicked his unused fullsize spare wheel out the boot and replaced it with a bald one form a different car

Vaguely related:
My sister wrote my Dad's car off years ago. When the insurance inspector viewed the car at the recovery companies compound, he said that they wouldn't pay out due to the completely bald tyres all round and the police then said they were going to prosecute my Dad for the highly illegal state of the tyres.
Luckily, he had the 3 week old receipt for the brand new set of tyres he'd bought and they eventually tracd the tyres to a Recovery workers car, surprise, surprise.
When you take your car for a service, check everything, mileage, and damage (however slight) tyres, even mark the oil and airfilter in a way thats hard for someone else to spot.
