Question

Dude, in all of your time selling these systems on, have you managed to end up with a spare normal left, right, rear left or rear right speaker stand?
All of mine were wall mounted bar the centre and the other half threw all of the stands out bar 1! I have upgraded my normal hifi speakers, so I am moving these onto the PC setup, which has a DD amp connected. I need only 1 normal stand, as the rears and centre are being mounted to the wall and cabinet.
The one time time that I did actually managed to get through to Sony spares, their system was down!

Cheers mate,

Nick

There are 2 types of normal stand for them. The type that make them stand upright, as in the left, right and rear speakers and the center style stand, which sits the speaker on it's side. I have a set of SA-VE705 Pascals if it is of any help.

Cheers,

Nick

Are Pascal speakers any good? I've heard a lot of bad things about them!

Do you sell Sony at trade prices?

I'm after an amp and a good set of speakers. Is there any makes you would recommend?

At the moment, the new Sony AV Amp STR-DE685 is on my list, I've been quoted £199 online. Does that seem a fair price or can you get it cheaper?
Thanks.

SAVE-335 £179.99
SAVE-535 £269.99

Are the 535's worth the extra money?
I have between £200 and £400 to spend on 5.1 speaker set up, not including the amp. Anything you would recommend in that price range?

IMHO yeah

The extra power of the sub is well worth it and the extra frequency range of the speakers too

Nice prices again too

Thumbs up

Jim.

You sir are a complete and utter star!
That is exactly what I am after

I found that these speakers sounded very good in a smaller room, as the soundfield was soundtage was slightly compressed. I mainly got my old 705's because I got the Art Deco top of the range sony telly, video and dvd too and the looked perfect as well as sounding easily good enough for my needs at the time.

Can't wait to see how they sound with My Yamaha DD Amp for my new PC sound setup

Jim, you will shortly have mail...

Cheers,

Nick
