Damn pop-ups!!!

Am I the only one out there that gets increasingly infuriated with pop-ups as you load a web page? I recently went to a site (not what you're all thinking...) and 9, yes 9 new pages opened up! And to top it off, as i closed 3 of them down, they opened up another 2!! Aaaaarrrgh!
Anyway, rant over.

MEAYA is what i have, i downloaded the file to keep on my computer, and then after 30 pop ups are stopped you are told to buy it,
But what i do then is click on the uninstaller and then go to my special download folder and double click on the set up, and its on again for another 30 pop ups.
But its really easy no set ups to configure and it only stops the ones it knows you don’t want.
I don’t have the link but do a search on the name.

Goto Panicware. You can download their basic Pop-up killer for free with no time limit or ads. They do a pro version which gives you a lot more control. The only problem with pop-up killers is that they also block legimate windows, such as login screens that often come up in a separate box. The basic pop-up killer does have a sound alert option that will let you know when it has 'killed' a window.

Forget pop-ups, try this site for size...
http://www.speeding.co.uk/pointless.html
Quite clever, but sadly proving that Internet Explorer and Co. take the control away from you and give it to the web-sites

I have downloaded the popup software you recommended.
I have found its to harsh, i am doing a course and i need about 3 pop ups on my screen to do the course, i am having to hold the ctrl/shift key down all the time, is there not a way it can just stop the rubbish popups you get on net sights?

Can you not download the software to a folder on your computer, then when it runs out you go to the folder and reinstall it.
I have been doing that with mine called MEAYA, when its done 30 stops i uninstall it then go to the folder were the set up is, and i install it again.
This one only stops the rubbish once that we all love to hate.

'Cos the poor bloke(s) (or women for that matter) who write it are probably living on Tesco Value Beans waiting for next registration fee to drop through the letter box
