Question

Can anyone recomend a good long range (indoor) cordless phone? A work colleague needs one. The ones I've seen only have a range of 50m indoors and that's not going to be enough. He needs to work in the warehouse (part of same building - full of racking and variuos stock) and it's about 500m to the furthest point.

Any ideas??

Cheers

We have a Panasonic digital cordless phone - works halfway down the road from the flat but don't know if this is far enough for you

You can get DECT repeaters to extend the range if required.

Alternatively, some PBXs like Siemens support a full blown cordless cell system but ain't cheap.

Actually, not sure if Rocom sell to end users. If they don't, let me know - we have an account with them.

It's OK. I've found the same unit in a cataloge we use for PC equipment. About the same price too. Thanks for the pointer..

Hello

If you are near London, have a wander down Tottenham Court Road. Most of the electronic shops have cordless phones that have a range of 19km (!).

Please note that these are not legal for use in the UK.

Steve.
