Just thinking about a one-week trip to NYC in mid-August and am depressed by the cost of flights

What is going on? With the dollar falling and the price of oil not that high coupled with the 'depressed' airline sector, I would have thought flights could be had around the £200 mark but there is not much available this side of £400 that I can see!

Anyone got any tips or views? Cheers,

try the airlines direct BA and AA have decent flights.

also try thinking about when you are going flying out to get there monday morning or flying back friday night are commuter times and the price can change dramatically. Try playing around with times and days.

Just saw the World Traveller offers on the BA site and although you can't seem to get those prices via an on-line booking, I called them and there is plenty of availability!

On-line booking is not always cheaper - as you might have thought!
