I randomly check the crime news from Chicago, Detroit etc just out of sheer curiosity and it’s a ruthless place...considering Chicago has a Population of 2.6 million there’s already been 218 deaths from shootings this year which is 43 odd per month so far...that’s only the deaths!! The amount of shootings which haven’t caused deaths is a lot higher...I honestly wouldn’t have a clue what the answer is as the amount of guns already in circulation must be millions. Banning guns maybe a case of closing the barn door after the horse has bolted.
these people killing each other are probably gang bangers so do the police leave them to wipe each other out?

I'm not arguing with the general point you're making though, that someone that young with very limited checks etc. can simply go to a firearms dealer and purchase what was essentially designed as a military rifle.

Let's not forget that the US "gun lobby" is now greatly emboldened and supported by hoardes of wingnut conspiracy-mongers, who within just hours of the last mass-shooting at a primary school (Sandy Hook, 10 years ago) were already peddling the outrageous lie that the whole incident was a staged event, aimed at forcing through gun-control laws. As with virtually all politics now, it's an unfortunate fact that fringe nutters spouting endless nonsense online seem to have a subtle but undeniable effect on the mainstream, and ultimately on actual decision-making.

People like as Alex jones are paid by the gun lobby to produce that ****e with the ultimate goal of polarising opinion
Everybody should knows theres money to be made from weaponry , and lobby groups supporting the industry will never let it be forgetten its a right and obligation to purchase a gun in case the government comes knocking
but its easier for them to tune into Netflix / get high on prescription drugs

It's not just the gun lobby which is the problem here, it's the weaponization of the internet as a vehicle for conspiracy BS of all varieties which is just as big a problem. At the risk of pointing out the obvious, you yourself are a prime example of it, even if not quite in Alex Jones territory.

The internet has been a tool for finding out more more quickly, but Of course you need to fact check and back this up - so it’s been a huge benefit here
but get real , these types and the lobby groups were just as powerful before internet ever arrived
and they are Paid by big industry to polarise , it’s nothing to do with personal beliefs lol
there is also much more Telly now than there ever was , which is easier to digest for average person …Owned by fewer people
with an agenda

It looks like I'm in very good company with my thoughts on this:

America and the other 5 eyes breeds extremism around the world through its funding of opposing factions
no amount of censorship will curtail this

bearing in mind that he and his family were directly involved in the Dunblane massacre he may just have a point of view that is relevant to these types of events
regardless I'm sure he doesn't need your "lol's"

Canada has now also announced a ban on handguns along with much stricter gun controls (Automatic weapons were already banned in Canada). Not that Canada has anywhere near the number of gun problems the USA has!

Yet another US mass shooting involving an AR15 and a loony. But don't worry it is not the easy access to guns that is the issue.
